Do you mean "it will take me" (ie you're planning to do some FE-editing 
hack) or "it took me" (ie you have already done it for page module)?

To be honest I've only browsed through some of the postings. Perhaps you 
could turn your changes into nice little packets and post them on 
bugs.typo3.org. Everybody will profit from an enhanced FE-ed., but for now 
(4.0), the door is closed.
