Hello Tapio,

I fully agree with your considerations:

1.) Guidelines should be given.
2.) Default should be 16x16.  (favicon std)
3.) At least hight an width should be equal.
4.) Kickstarter should provide 16x16 questionmarks-icons.

I think favicon has set a kind of standard for icons, not only for
ico-icons, but also for gif and png.
