[TYPO3-dev] File selection dialog without file copy?

Hello all,

is there a file selection dialog available in the Typo3 backend that 
will add a filename to a list in a from WITHOUT making a copy of the 
file (or files) to an other directory (like /uploads/media)?

I'm having a problem with css_filelinks: the files are always copied to 
/uploads/media, even if an other folder is selected with typoscript.  No 
copy at all would be a solution.
Changing the destination path of the file selection dialog (to the same 
path as set in typoscript) is an other possible solution.
