[TYPO3-dev] Create pages_language_overlay by Frontend User - Field l18n_diffsource

Hi List,

im developing a content-subscription extension for typo3 4.0 and 
templavoila. logged in fe_users could subscripe content elements.

For each user which subscribe a content element a new page is generated.
If there is a multilingual page i have to create page translations
automatic.

So iam looking for a poss. to create the content of the field
l18n_diffsource
in my plugin. Is there any function which creates that value? Is this field
necessary?
