By the time I noticed this appliance, we'd already been running 
production TYPO3 installations in VMware (ESX, not free server or GSX) 
for some time. The best part is that if I want to test new extensions, 
upgrades, etc, I can use snapshots or clones to test with and *then* 
decide to migrate into actual production. VM Server or Player are great 
of prototyping a VM on a workstation though. As for production, it's ESX 
all the way. :-)
