[TYPO3-dev] Naming conventions

Apologies if I am being incredibly stupid here, but not knowing what these
mean really bugs me. If you could tell me the meaning behind these two
conventions I would be grateful.

The prefix for BE classes 'SC_', and the prefix for BE frameset
scripts 'alt_', I have racked my brains, searched google and read lots of
source code comments but still no closer to learning the meaning! :)
