I have this configuration
typo3beta2
MySql Server characterset: latin1
BE charset : iso-8859-1
php 5.0.4

In class t3lib_div, xml2array function, there is a "PHP5 fix of charset  
awareness". But I have always an error :
Line x: Invalid character|
Fatal error: Cannot use string offset as an array in

What I miss ? I read in the list that the PHP bug is resolved since php  
5.0.4.
