Thanks for the good work.

I would be interested to take this over for some time until I have 
converted and merged extension Static Info Library into your base 
extension. Unfortunately, it may take a little while, because I am 
currently fully loaded.

I think each of the language packs could perhaps be owned by the Chief 
translators?

What alternative would you suggest? I think Brazilian Portuguese (pt-br) 
is indeed bound to Brazil just as Canadian French (fr-ca) is indeed 
bound to Canada. The use of the country code is specified in RFC 3066 - 
Tags for the Identification of Languages. Some languages such as Cree 
need the 3-letter code, but there will never be a 3-letter code for 
Brazilian Portuguese.
