The existing TYPO3 BE icons really are very good from many perspectives.
Okay they look a little dated, but they have extremely clear contrast and
mostly easy to learn what icons are for what.

Is this a design or dev discussion?

Most of the TYPO3 skins I have seen look prettier but seem less integrated
that the current BE.
