[Typo3-dev] Tabs in textareas

I also remember some old discussions about having a better editing 
textareas for TypoScript (syntax coloring + better keyboard handling). 
Things like http://helene.muze.nl/demo/ were looked at, at that time. 
There's this as well : 
http://typo3.org/development/projects/typoscript-editor/ . Is there 
anything happening in that area ?

I'd be happy to help (once I complete my current commitments), if 
that's something seen as a good extension, useful for others
