[Typo3-dev] Make extension output other CE's in same column

Hi list,

I am making an extension which is being inserted as a frontend plugin in the 
"Right column".

The extensions works just great, using groups to display the list. In case 
there is no output, like for the default screen when the user just enters 
the page with the extension, I would like to display/output the below (or 
all other) Content Elements in the same column rendered with core engine. If 
the Extension is outputting data I would like to hide the others, so that my 
extension output is the only output in that column.

Is there an easy way to achieve this? I guess I would have to hook up with 
the tt_content in my extension, but I am unsure how to prevent the core on 
printing out the following CE's after my plugin.

Anyone have a smart way?
