A meta-page-description isn't better than a well-done page today. :)
Actually, if you produce clean XHTML, you already have a meta description,
it's all about content and semantics. You can do design exclusively with
CSS, so if a new browser generation arrives, that uses, say XSLT to go from
XML to PDF via FO natively (just wait, Apple will do it sooner or later :),
you can just continue to use the generated XhtML.
Thats why I like XHTML even though nowadays one still has to fight a little
here and there. And using existing standards is probably better than
inventing and supporting(!) our own browser drivers. You do have other
things to take care of as well, I have heard... ;)
