[Typo3-dev] Render content elements automatically

Hi all,

I have developed a simple extension (my first one ;) which displays
RTE-Content elements randomly (replacing a given marker). For RTE elements
this works fine; but i want to add the possibility to display every type of
content (pictures, RTE, text etc). Is there a way to detect automatically
the type of given content elements and render them?
