Hmpf, to change it I have to XCLASS a method of many, many lines.

Can we split up such methods while refactoring. Apropos, I regard any code 
outside the class definition in class.tslib_pagegen.php as "cruft". Please 
move on to a one class-per-file system. Same is true for tslib_content and 
tslib_menu, probably for some others as well.
