[Typo3-dev] graphical menu - how to?

Hey there!
I would like to implement this into TYPO3:  
www.oubsu.org/newtypo3/fileadmin/templates/images/Orangebarwithowords.jpg

How would I do this? I know (as in, read about) how to make a simple  
graphical menu with GIFbuilder, but how would I do this?

It'd be great if you guys could point me to a specific section in one of  
the documents or give some sample code so I can get some more info in  
TSRef.
