 I think nothing of it...
 XHTML is the de-facto standard for current and future websites.
 Who validates HTML 4.0 pages?  
 Move your efforts to more serious work ;-)
 In this case it's a small change but there's already too much of this
 "backwards compatibility"-Thing(tm) concerning TYPO3, 
 we should look into the future!
