[Typo3-dev] How to save be_user id @ record?

Hello,

I need to save the ID of the be_user to every record and I don't know how :(
If the record is getting changed, the ID of the BE user is overwritten by 
the (maybe) new ID. Furthermore users with special rights should see at the 
BE which User (here name, not ID) made/modfied the record.

Can you please give me some hints?
