[Typo3-dev] What if I want to make changes to the extension?..

I have this problem with 'sp_directory'. I have made a lot of 
improvements to it and I have tried to contact the author, who have 
newer replied to me. I would suggest him to make some changes.

Does someone else the same experience with 'sp_directory'?
