[Typo3-dev] fopen/open_basedir problems

Hey

I did a bugfix to an extension on a site hosted at some webhosting
company. And I have the problem that I cannot upload the bugfixed
version, I get a lot "fopen() could not open... in t3lib_div..." errors.

I can't edit files directly either, the same error occurs. I can
import stuff from TER.

It runs in safe_mode and open_basedir is set to the siteroot, the
install tool detects write access to ext dirs to be ok. Any ideas to
what could be the problem? Or even better how I get around the problem
and make the changes to the extension.

Maybe I should just write the author and make him update the extension in TER
