I think these better be configurable via TS config, on a per-user basis. 
  The reasons to change the defaults in the BE features are typically 
some uncommon browsers - and this way can be adjusted for a particular 
BE user's preferences.

The defaults may (and probably should) be dependent on the client 
browser (User-agent), I guess.
