[Typo3-dev] Strategy to update global extensions for serveral webpages on one server

Hallo folks,

I would like to know if there is any strategy to update on one shoot 
several webpages, when some have global extension installed, and only a 
central admin with global access can update the source for the 
extension, i.e. download from TER to global?

Or something like auto-reinstall-extension if ...???

I hope I could express it clearly.
Any ideas?
