[Typo3-dev] re-usage of forms

Hello,
I will develop an extension soon which has to do with forms, this means 
the user shall input some data on a page into a form, he submits the 
form and then a certain action should happen.

My question: Is there already a "Framework" for Forms? So you just have 
to care about what happens with the data after the user submits the form 
and you dont have to care about outputting the form, etc?

If not, what do you think, would it be a good idea and is it possible?
