| Hi All,
|
| Nothing to do with the DEBIAN installation & TYPO3 of course, but
| we are getting the following error on a production server:
|
| Warning: mysql_pconnect(): Too many connections in
| /var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-3.7.0/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php on line 813
|
|
| The server is hosting like 25 typo3 websites and all of them don't
| have that much visitors. If I search with google everybody is
| telling not to use mysql_pconnect() (persistent) but mysql_connect
| instead.
|
| Why is using TYPO3 the mysql_pconnect() ? and does anyone know how
| to set some settings so you won't get the above error message?
|

Google tells me:
http://kb.atmail.com/view_article.php?num=137
It gives a tip about configuring MySQL to allow more than 50
simultaneous connections, the apparent default.. which is a bit tight
when hosting 25 sites.
And on the use of mysql_pconnect:
http://www.wellho.net/mouth/104_mysql-connect-or-mysql-pconnect-in-PHP-.html
Hope this helps.
