[Typo3-debian] cronjob, mysql_pconnect

Hi to all,

I tried to set an cronjob on the dmailerd.phpcron by doing the following:

edited the /etc/crontab , added the following line:

* * * * * apache /pathtodomain/typo3/ext/direct_mail/mod/dmailerd.phpcron

(the above is on one line)

I get the following error:

<b>Fatal error</b>:  Call to undefined function:  mysql_pconnect() in 
<b>/var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-3.7.0/t3lib/class.t3lib_db.php</b> on line 
<b>813</b><br />

Then I went to the install tool and disabled persistent connections, but 
I get the (almost) same error (instead of mysql_pconnect(), 
mysql_connect() )

I'm running Debian stable, is there anything extra that needs to be 
installed, or set?
