[Typo3-debian] Error message after trying to run site in typo3.6.0 (30-04-2004 final version)

Hi All,

I read the following tutorial by michael about moving sites from one server 
to the other:

You'll have to do some things manually:
- copy the whole directory inside of your webroot (except the typo3_src)
- safe the database as well
- paste both parts on the Debian server
- create a symlink 'typo3_src' which points
  to /var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-verionnummber
- adjust typo3conf/localconf.php (compare graphic settings with the
  localconf.php which is part of the Debian package)

Okay, I don't want to move anything I want to use the new version 3.6.0 
(final version). So I think:

1. I don't have to do the following as everything is already on the server 
and OKAY:

- copy the whole directory inside of your webroot (except the typo3_src)
- safe the database as well
- paste both parts on the Debian server

2. But I have to do:

- create a symlink 'typo3_src' which points
  to /var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-verionnummber

I did this, I have two directories now:

/var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-3.5.0
/var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-3.6.0

I changed the symbolic link to the new -3.6.0 directory.

- adjust typo3conf/localconf.php (compare graphic settings with the
  localconf.php which is part of the Debian package)

I don't know if anything should be changed here as it looks okay to me, no 
pointing to the old version 3.5.0.

So I thought only changing the symbolic link to 
/var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-3.6.0 would be enough but sadly not, I get the 
following error message when connecting to the website I made in typo 3:

The requested page didn't have a proper connection to the tree-root!
(Broken rootline)

ANY SUGGESTION? I thought this was the simplest way of migrating my 
website(s) to v3.6.0 but it won't somehow.

After putting the symbolic link back to /var/lib/typo3/typo3_src-3.5.0 
everything was working okay agian.

ANY HELP APPRECIATED.
