I know several conferences where the hotel fee was included. In some 
cases flights for speakers also. But there's a mean difference: 
Sponsors. When you've got Adobe or Macromedia, you're able to make 
different prices (below EUR 100) and get your stuff paid.

And hey: Queens isn't a quite cheap solution for an OpenSource meeting... :D

I don't mind at all - it's worth meeting all you guys there... :)
