Hm, hard to say, but maybe your girlfriend's right. You may spend some time lying around in the snow, but only after a tipple-topple, goggle-twist, head ejection and twisted legs or arms....!

But I am sure you'll have tons of fun! :-)

And don't forget PB&J sandwiches to keep yourself energized! Seriously: If you want to learn some skiing, I could perhaps help you. Snowboarding you should ask Eike, he used to be a fantastic coach in Switzerland last year!

Hi everybody,...

I'm very looking forward to coming to the snowboard tour, have borrowed 
a board from a friend, have all the stuff I need (at least I hope so) 
and can't wait to arrive to l2a. But I have a problem:

I never stood on skis or on a snowboard! And my girlfriend (who is very 
good in skiing) says, I will probably spend the whole week lying in the 
snow. (if noone will teach me some basics :)

I read on this list, that last year some of you took time to teach the 
newbies how to board.

So my question is: Are there any volunteers to do this again this year? 
:) Are there other newbies in the same situation like me? Or will I have 
to come home and tell my girlfriend she was right... :)

Hoping the community works for non-typo3-needs, too
