Especially this part of the alps is pretty expensive. I doubt that you 
can save much money in this department. Half board is 28 bucks a day, 
which is not exactly cheap but certainly cheaper than having breakfast 
and dinner at a restaurant...
You might save money by bringing your own stuff for breakfast and drinks 
for the evening. Then again: is it worth to drive some food 1000km 
across Europe?
