Hi folks,

The swiss avalanche center forecasts up to 60cm of fresh pow for Fiesch
(region is called Goms) by tonight - all in 24 hours!!!

That is enormous amount ins such a short period of time.

In der Nacht auf Freitag beginnt es im Süden zu schneien. Die Südwinde
frischen auf und erreichen im Verlaufe des Tages vor allem in den zentralen
Teilen Sturmstärke. Die Mittagstemperatur auf 2000 m beträgt minus 8 bis
minus 10 Grad. In den Hauptniederschlagsgebieten Simplon - Binntal - Goms -
Bedretto - Maggiatäler fallen bis am Freitagabend 50 bis 60 cm Schnee.
