I don't think a hacker would use the ip assigned from an DHCP server.

the DHCP server could log ether hw adresses (if he did not change it)

he could just enter a valid unused ip adress of this subnet (tested by
pinging).

but all this could also happen in the case of a peg-dhcp net ...

i did just think "static" ips would be better for us if someone
wants to show something on the pc of somebody else he will have to
enter the ip of it (in a browser for example) ... and if you always
have to look up what ip you just got assigned ....

but i noted that DHCP servers assign the same MAC the same IP if available ...

so this problem will not be too serious for the most of use ...


just thought peg-dhcp could be fun *g*
like at the CCC camps/congresses ...
