As I wrote the ULRTA II cards I have do this job.

So all goes to the cache, and the 5frames depend on
how big the picture is, right?
The Nikon tech specs (as far as I can remember) are very conservative.
I just can tell from the camera saying: 145 pictures left on a formatted
drive, and I usually get about 200 on it (same resolution, JPG compression)
with no hassle.

;-) If price is not an issue. And it "only" has 4 Mega pixels.

;-) If 3FPS is oK with you, than the D70 is right with the CF ULTRA II
packs.
> The D100 is capable of shooting at 3 fps - but how many images?
Talking on the CeBIT this year to the Nikon guy he told me
that they designed the D70 for more speed in mind. I had the D100
and sold it to get my D70. From the picture taking point I see
no difference (brilliance, sharpness, etc. pp.) But I noticed
that the D70 really can do the 3FPS and the D100 couldn't.
The D70 lacks one button the D100 has (the option is no in the
menue.) And it only has a "plastic" body, which I remembered first
time when I read about it somewhere. Will say: You cannot use it
as a hammer ;-)
My bigges advantage that I saw: You can update the D70 firmware
on your own. Updating the D100 firmware cost me about 100.- EUR.

Ask Kasper ;-))
