[Neos] Update to 1.2

How do you update?

If I install Neos via composer like:

composer create-project --no-dev typo3/neos-base-distribution neos21

it pulls in 1.1.0:

   ...
   - Installing typo3/setup (1.1.0)
     Cloning 13231c612cc9f94549a6dea3aa74d75c22e16590
   ...


But I also don't understand why the composer manifest of the 1.2 Neos 
package refers to "*" for some required packages..
