[Neos] CSS3 based plugin

I am wondering if it is possible or infact good practice to modify style sheets using fluid?
I am implementing an image slider plugin, css3 based, and would like to be able to adjust settings in style sheet from plugin implementation rather than inline style attributes.

My motivation is to have clean markup in my html and make edits in relevant style sheet eg for keyframes  timing function ...
