Hi folks,
a brief summary and conclusion from a discussion at the Neos sprint with
Aske, Sebastian and Christopher (among others).
We currently use Hallo Editor mostly due to the fact that we didn't have
enough time to re-integrate Aloha on top of Createjs. Hallo currently
causes problems with copy & paste and some other scenarios because it
only provides very simple editing functionality. Therefore we decided to
re-enable / integrate Aloha again.
We'll choose Aloha and not another editor like for example CKEditor because:
- we have a lot experience and deep insight into Aloha already
- as it looks it provides all the functionality we need
- we can easily enhance Aloha by our own plugins if needed
- we have very good connections to the makers of Aloha
In the past we had problems with Aloha due to its refactoring to JQuery
[1] but this should now be solved.
Cheers,
Robert
