[TYPO3-50-general] Document_Root Flow3

The documentation states it's preferable to set up the Document_Root to 
(for example) DocumentRoot /var/apache2/htdocs/tutorial/Web/.
But what if you can't change this? My hoster want let me do this.
Maybe you guys can come up with some interesting arguments to convince them?
Anyway, is there another way to get 'rid' of the 'Web' part in the url? 
Now I get http://example.com/Web/HelloWorld instead of 
http://example.com/HelloWorld.
