Oh snap, that setting got lost in the change to YAML-based 
configurations in the Blog branch. I didn't notice, as I'm working on 
case insensitive Windows..

Well, I've fixed it now by renaming the database (so you'll have to 
revert your changes in Settings.yml).
I also added the dummy data to the provided database so you won't have 
to call the setup controller anymore in order to get started.


BTW: the "no such table: namespaces" exception is quite misleading. 
TYPO3CR should somehow check whether a database exists at all and 
provide a better error if not.. Could you open a ticket for that?
