[TYPO3-50-general] Routing / mod_rewrite / ISAP_rewrite

Hi everybody,

it's really funny how history repeats - as it seems like different OSes
behaving differently when it comes to $_SERVER et al are still an issue.
I still remember vividly when Kasper collected tons of variable dumps
of different environments to make RealURL and other parts of TYPO3 work.

Now we run into the same problems again, so I need your help ...

Michael Feinbier recently reported this bug [1] - mod_rewrite didn't
work as expected on his machine. We solved that for now but it would
be interesting to know how it behaves on other machines. So, what
happens if you install TYPO3 v5 in the webserver's root directory or in
a subdirectory - can you still call URIs like:

   http://localhost/typo3/page or
   http://localhost/some/sub/dir/typo3/page or
   http://localhost/testing/ or
   http://localhost/testing

?

I'm especially interested in how FLOW3 behaves on Windows machines as
I don't have one currently.

Want to help? Then please use the most recent TYPO3 v5 version [2] for
your
tests and post your results to this thread.

Cheers,
robert
