[TYPO3-50-general] Busy with documentation ...

Hi folks,

I hope you all stumbled happily into 2008 and are as excited I about
what we can expect this year to happen. We've got a lot of work ahead,
but also a lot of fun!

I'm happy that Malte and Tim have been so busy working on the Code
Sniffer integration. As they (and others) asked me some questions via
private mail, I decided to concentrate on finishing the documentation
for yet undocumented parts of the framework which otherwise might lead
to confusion. Therefore I'm a bit slow currently when it comes to
answering emails, but I hope to have that documentation finished soon
and then you'll probably have fewer questions anyway ;-). More
documentation also makes it easier for us to invite new people joining
our team, which is definately something we want.

One important point: If you have questions about how to implement
something or about the TYPO3 Framework, please ask them in this list
and avoid writing me directly. This has two big advantages: 1) Someone
else like Karsten might answer the question equally well and is
probably faster than me and 2) others can read (and search for) the
answer, so they don't have to ask it again.

Finally, I'm happy to let you know that we are currently working on a
way to release the TYPO3 Framework as it's own little subbrand of
TYPO3, so others in the PHP community feel invited to use it also
independently of the TYPO3 CMS.

So, in case you wondered why everything seems so quiet here, now you
know why.

Enjoy your day!
robert
