every new editor needs at least
* base file for Typo3 (format class.tx_pluginName_base.php)
* Typo3 specific link and image dialogs - important for Typo3
* multilanguage support - note Typo3 specific features, which need to 
take account.

Recommended
* Typo3 linkhandler support (build in in tinymce_rte and with a plugin 
supported in htmlarea)
* editor template support

So there is much work to get any RTE using Typo3 specific features.
Because of this fact many options are not just reasonable.

There are also special problems like dam, which has been developed for 
htmlarea. Hook file doesn't fit for any other RTE.
