Hmm, wherever you read that ... ;-)
The point is that we will change almost everything under the hood,
including TCA, so we'll also have to find a new solution for forms.
However, it's probably too early to make assumptions about it yet,
because the implementation of the backend won't start until milestone
four . It also depends on how the 4.x backend evolves during the next
months as that will be the model for the 5.0 backend.
An old idea, and currently my favourite, is to create the 5.0 backend as
just a regular TYPO3 website (with templates etc.). On the one hand that
makes sure that you can access all functionality also from the frontend
and on the other it allows for implementing other alternative backends
in parallel. So, if we follow that idea, we'd need a general form
rendering solution for frontend end backend purposes.
What do you think about that? Would you be interested in designing such
a generic forms library?
