I'm glad, that I could help a little bit.
To my point with the installation hints for windows.
I read that I have to start apache as an administrator, but till today I'm not sure how to do it.
Because the only way I knew (right click on apache.exe -> Start with Administrator privilegs) didn't solve the problem.
The only thing which helped me, was to set the rights to create symlinks from "administator only" to "everyone".
Propaply it would be enough to add this hint to, as an alternative way if the solution with "Run as Administrator" doesn't do the trick.
OR which might be even better, I'm not sure, a special package where "symlinks" are disabled and "copy" is active.
So that FLOW3 just runs without any systemconfigurations but with a clear hint, that this is only for development an highly recomanded to use symlinks.
For beginners how just want to get some experience and try FLOW3 it wouldn't matter.
Overall, I'm really impressed and want to use FLOW3 as my new framework for projects.
Best,
Alex

Fellow sufferer... ;)

The "Installation hints" [1] would have helped you - But, yeah, they have to be much more prominent!

That's a good idea!

No, I think this is a rendering error.

That should have been fixed with http://forge.typo3.org/issues/31864 -
but probably it is not yet re-published.

Absolutely! Thanks a lot for the feedback.

Yes, we definitely need to improve that.

Great, and feel free to open issues in the flow3.org bug tracker [2]
Best,
