[Flow] TYPO3.Media package for Flow 2.3

Hello everybody,

I'm currently working on a new project which will base on Flow 2.3.
After setup and basic development I step into an issue which I'm not
able to solve by my own.

I will use TYPO3.Media for handling my assets especially Image (and
ImageVariants) but when I try to add any image to it, I get a fatal
error like this:

method TYPO3\Flow\Resource\Resource::getUri() in
/www/flow/Data/Temporary/Development/Cache/Code/Flow_Object_Classes/TYPO3_Media_Domain_Service_ImageService.php
on line 144

After some investigation I think it is not possible to get TYPO3.Media
working with Flow 2.3, is it? Currenty im using 1.2.1 of TYPO3.Media as
it seems to be the latest version available (even newer than master) and
due to a lack of a develop branch there seems to be no suitable code
available. Am I missing any point?

Sooo is there any plan to update the Media package soon (or already
had)? Otherwise I have to do some work by my own, I guess?
