[Flow] how to upgrade from flow 2.1 to 2.2 / 2.3

I would clone a clean base distribution of typo3 flow:

git clone git://git.typo3.org/Flow/Distributions/Base.git

and checkout tag 2.3 then copy packages and configs in it.
