the ability to really proof it. Are the facsimiles saved? I send my CLA via
mail, therefore there is no difference to having a check mark.
I doubt that there is any legal requirement (at least in Germany and US)
that forces you to have a written agreement.
Being able to proof that only the account owner can check-in code from the
same account used for the CLA checkmark setting.
In civil law, a contract is binding if both partners agree on the subject.
No written contract is needed and there can even be a different written
contract. (Except in cases where law requires a written contract or even a
notary.)
