[Flow] access external database with extbase data

Hello,
I have a setup with a TYPO3 cms and a TYPO3 flow installation. People 
are creating events in TYPO3 cms and I would like to access the same 
data (based on extbase) within my flow application.
I migrate the extbase code to make it flow compatible but how do I tell 
my flow repository to access the extbase style data from another 
database? I have searched in the documentation but didn't find anything 
helpful there. Hope my question is clear ;)
