Yes, that looks like it. As far as I understand it seems also possible 
to simply add a new backend to the default logger. I don't know which of 
the two methods is recommended. Adding a backend is definitely simpler. 
The solution you point sounds a bit overkill for my needs, but I may be 
wrong.
