[Flow] neos: code something similar like mailchimp with neos

hi,
I'm thinking about coding something similar like mailchimp with TYPO3 
NEOS. neos provides a lot of the libraries already for it like

- the live editing with the aloha editor (right?)
- inserting images and cropping them
- sending emails with swiftmailer package

for now i dont want to handle bounces, i just want to edit a html 
template, insert some image and texts, parse everything and then send it 
to a recipient list. thats all.

now i don't want to code a second neos backend by myself of course. my 
question:

how can i re-use as much as possible of the already existing neos 
backend? i don't know much about the codebase of neos so far.

PS: is there anybody who would like to join me in coding this? i don't 
want to use mailchimp as its a service in america and i want to have all 
the data on my own server and also provide a special API for another 
software that i'm using for syncing contacts later on but thats step 5 
or so.
