[Flow] TYPO3 Surf and TYPO3v6

Hi all,

just checking out TYPO3 Surf for deploying Flow applications as well as TYPO3 CMS sites. Looks cool so far. 

But one thing I'm wondering about: Why have the TYPO3v6 specific parts (TYPO3v6 Application and the according Tasks, e.g. SymlinkDataTask) been removed from the current TYPO3 Surf release (http://forge.typo3.org/projects/package-typo3-surf/repository) compared to older releases (e.g. https://github.com/daKmoR/TYPO3.Surf)?

Those tasks seem to me essential for deploying a TYPO3 CMS site with Surf. Will the Application/TYPO3/CMS.php be a substitution for this (and is just not finished)? If so, will then the CMS tasks be added again also? 
And in the meanwhile: do you see any problems for using the old TYPO3v6 parts from Github with the current release from Forge (aside from the renamings of FLOW3 to Flow)?
