Hi folks,
today we had "the talk" with the TYPO3 Association's Expert Advisory Board about the 2013 budget. Karsten and me will write more about it later this week, after the budget has been officially published, but what's clear already is that there are not enough means to fund development of features for Flow this year (focus is more on Neos instead). The EAB took this decision also knowing that Flow has reached a certain market adoption which allows us to fund new features through customer projects.
Some of the most requested features so far address the resource management of Flow. Apart from asset management (minifying, compiling, of JS, CSS etc) most of you guys also want cloud storage for persistent resources and support of Content Delivery Networks.
I do have a customer who enables me to work on this for two days, but this won't be enough to create a generic, Flow-release-quality solution. So, if the above is already on your wish list, please check out my blog post:

Ah, and ... personally I still see a pretty bright future for Flow and Neos. No matter which budget is granted for what.
Take care,
Robert
