I loved using the web-based test runner, but in the meantime, since my IDE has support for it, I only run tests in PhpStorm.
It also features a nice green bar (https://skitch.com/robertlemke/g3rpc/green-bar) and even more importantly, it allows you to quickly navigate to failing tests and compare expected and actual results.
Since PhpStorm 3.0 I'm also finally able to use code coverage support again (with the help of a little plugin) which shows me directly in the code which lines are covered by the test and which are not:
